The duo made up of trumpeter Valentín Garvie and pianist Nataniel Edelman
presents a series of anomalies that characterize it. They both compose and improvise, Y
both move through an undefined terrain between jazz and contemporary music.
This is how they go through the repertoire of each concert, ranging from own compositions such as
small parts, suites, open sheet music, valses, strung together with songs or “standards”
jazz classics, or compositions by Bud Powell and Thelonious Monk to name a few.
The popular and the academic merge in this music that is difficult to classify, a music
that could only be touched by its members.
