The Silk Road connects East and West commercially and culturally throughout history.. The Impressionist painting movement, Emerging in France at the beginning of the 20th century, he is fascinated with Eastern exoticism and recreates it in his works., shortly later giving rise to a musical movement of the same name that would take the sounds of Japanese music for its creations.. Claude Debussy is one of the most prominent composers who represented this current., with works such as The Sea or Preludio para la siesta de un fauno. In Latin America, Carlos Guastavino and Lasala, among others, would compose works inspired by the national folk culture, taking up these Impressionist sounds.. We bring together in this repertoire these composers with H. Villalobos, reference of 20th century Brazilian and Latin American academic music, who also explored in “exotic” of telluric cultures with European academic forms. Through the unusual meeting of the flute, the piano and the double bass, we venture along the silk roads and the music that runs through them.. We are waiting for you to share this enchanting night.
