The guitar occupies a unique place in the history of music, building bridges between academic tradition and popular expressions. The program of this concert proposes a journey through that shared territory through original works for string quartet and guitar by Carlos Guastavino and Sergio Assad, along with the versions that Leo Brouwer made of songs by Lennon and McCartney. In this proposal, the lyricism, virtuosity and a vast palette of instrumental colors converge in a fluid dialogue between classical and popular.
