– Robert Schumann : Three Pieces of Fantasy, Op.73 for piano and cello
We will begin with the Third Sonata, a masterpiece composed in a period of great creativity. This piece stands out for its perfect balance between cello and piano, offering dramatic contrasts that keep the listener on the edge of their seat.
Then, we will explore the Fourth Sonata, a work from the composer's last period that develops a great variety of rhythms and colors, with two movements of slow and expressive introduction, leading to a happy and fresh ending.
Finally, We will perform Schumann's Three Fantasy Pieces, composed in 1849. These pieces, although small, They are full of emotion and each one has a well-defined character. : The melancholy of the first piece gives way to the joy and optimistic energy of the second, to end the passion and fire of the last piece.
