El tango tiene su origen en las ceremonias y danzas de los esclavos africanos traidos a la fuerza al continente.
“Se ignora generalmente la presencia de los negros en la historia de Argentina, así como los orígenes africanos del tango, que proviene del mismo tronco que el candombe”, afirma la musicóloga Isabelle Leymarie.
