Address and arrangements: Sebastian Zanetto
Ipacaá Aty is a saxophone quintet dedicated to the performance of music with South American roots., approached from a contemporary perspective. The group works on their own compositions and works by other authors from the continent, with arrangements and direction by Sebastián Zanetto.
The repertoire combines folklore, tango, popular music and current creation, generating a space where tradition and sound search coexist fluidly. Ipacaá Aty stands out for its timbral richness, expressiveness and power of a chamber group that explores the possibilities of the saxophone ensemble.
The group works on their own compositions and works by other authors from the continent, with arrangements and direction by Sebastián Zanetto. The arrangements cover themes such as the Cueca de los coyas (Antonio Pantoja, Peruvian composer) Vidala for my shadow (Julio Santos Espinosa, salteño composer), The lighthouse that guides us (Hermeto Pascoal) hasta Overjoyed de Stevie Wonder, interweaving styles that mark a South American musical map.
