Rooted Argentine music on xylophone and piano
paul marcos (xylophone and percu)
Leandro Batallanos (piano)
Guests: Juan Pablo Liendro (winds)
The Marcos-Batallanos duo addresses ancient sounds and performs their own compositions for xylophone and piano. A compositional-musical proposal that arises from the need to contribute new works of folkloric roots, with a base and unconventional sounds such as the xylophone and that together with the piano provide a sound twist. They also address traditional themes, but with a popular academic tint that gives brilliance to the work. an atypical duo, and no less exquisite, that puts the knowledge of technical studies at the service of emotion , managing to move by his cloudscape, colorful, simplicity and depth.
They will present themselves with a show in which they will tour their first album recorded live in May of this year and will remake folklore and tango classics together with invited artists and dancers..
