Manu Sija and Lucas Dorado met at a concert in Paris. It soon became clear that both musicians shared the same interests in the field of Argentine music and jazz.. After several concerts together in different groups, They perform for the first time as a duo at the café concert “Café Vinilo” in Palermo, Buenos Aires. Thanks to the exotic vibraphone instrumentation, guitar and vocals, add new horizons to Argentine folklore, incorporating jazz harmony, thus developing his own style.

Manu Sija is one of the most innovative references of contemporary jazz in South America. Multi Self-taught instrumentalist and composer with a visceral approach to improvisation, fuses the language of modern jazz with Argentine folklore and live electronic experimentation. Your proposal, both in single set and ensemble formats, It is a sound experience that crosses stylistic and geographical borders.

LUCAS DORADO:
Lucas Dorado was born in Switzerland and since he was a child he learned Latin American rhythms from his father., finally specializing in the vibraphone. He has worked as a professional musician since 2012 and played in several countries in Europe, South America and Africa. In 2017, won 1st prize at the first jazz vibraphone competition in Pescara and in 2022 obtains a scholarship to carry out his project «El Sueño», with professional musicians in France. Since then he lives and works in Paris.
Lucas Dorado is a curious and versatile jazz artist, Latin American music and even classical music. He worked several times with the Deutsche Oper for classical repertoire at the Berlin Philharmonic., He plays regularly with Minino Garay but has also performed with other renowned artists such as Randy Brecker., Juan Munguía or Renaud Garcia-Corse.
