It is a guitar quartet made up of musicians from the Federal Capital and the Province of Buenos Aires..
As. that explores the different soundscapes of our country through the repertoire
folk. They have their own arrangements, both instrumental and sung., with a
deep knowledge of the musical styles they address but also leaving a
scope for musical exploration. They include zamba, gato, chacarera, chamamé, valses,
entre otros.
Nicolás Jager (Buenos Aires, 1990) presents his new project: Translations.
Just as a literary translator works meticulously on a text, make decisions,
opts for fidelity in some passages and allows certain licenses in others, the pianist and
composer immerses himself in songs by authors who have marked his artistic sensitivity
to translate them to the piano. Between fidelity and reinvention, these versions seek
preserve the spirit of the original works while discovering new ways of saying.
