The composer, saxophonist and flutist Fernando Lerman presents his new Argentine music quartet with his own works and standards from here. His creative palette recognizes harmonic influences from academic authors of the 20th century and jazz resources..

In this concert a saxophone quartet joins in to present some music from the album Familia Tipo, recently published.

Fernando Lerman
He has a Doctor of Arts from the National University of the Arts and a Master's degree in Latin American Music from the U.N.. of Whose. Both theses work on the encounter between the academic and the popular. He is a teacher at the Manuel de Falla Conservatory (Saxophone and Flute-Jazz) and in the Department of Musical and Sound Arts of the National University of the Arts where he coordinates the Technician in Composition of Musical Arrangements, He directs the research group Argentine Music for Saxophone and is the holder of one of the Saxophone chairs..
His works have been performed by renowned concert artists such as María Noel Luzardo,
Miguel Villafruela (Chile-Cuba), Sebastian Tozzola, Amalia Del Giudice, Emiliano Barri, Javier Ocampo (Colombia), Victor Marin (Venezuela), Tanya von Arx (Suiza), Carl Emmanuel Fisbach (France), Jay Byrnes (Australia), Joan Martí Frasquier, Alfonso Padilla (Spain), Stephen Page (USA), Édua Zádora (Hungría), Leonora Letelier, Karem Ruiz and Alejandro Rivas Pinto (Chile), Riccardo Fachinat and Alessandro Juncos (Italy) Alejandro Bidegain, Stephanie Schanton, Marcos Cabezaz, Yamila Bavio, Nexas Sax Quartet (Australia), Koh-I-Noor Saxophone Quartet (Holland), the Oriente Saxophone Quartet (Chile), el Cuarteto Argentino de Saxofones, the Fernando Lerman Clarinet Quintet of Buenos Aires, the Latin American Quartet of Women Saxophonists and the Saxophone Quartet 4 MIL among many others.
Ha compartido proyectos artísticos con Abel Rogantini ("astitor"), Alejandro Manzoni (“BIO”),
Maximo Rodriguez (The Quadriyo); Ricardo Nolé (“Templando-Jazzdombe”), Ludmila Fernandez (“Oliverio Girondo, to keep it going around”), Liliana Herrero (“The violinist cricket”), Miguel Sosa and Fabio Zurita (The Nonet), Gustavo Liamgot, María Estela Monti, Jorge Retamoza, Juan Falú, Obi Homer, Juan “Pollo” Raffo, Claudio Cecolli, Quito Cat, Germán Gómez and Alan Plachta.
His latest works include:
Fire Islands (southern oratory), text from his brother Gabriel D. Lerman with the Argentine National Music Orchestra “Juan de Dios Filiberto” and the Argentine National Music Choir, the singer Silvia Iriondo, the actors Juan Palomino and Daniel Berbedés under the direction of Jorge Doumont; Guastavino now with the voice of Laura Albarracín;
all the gods, the god (for mixed choir and saxophone quartet) released in
Zagreb, Croatia conducted by Jasenka Ostojić and the Five Cities Concert
for alto saxophone and chamber orchestra performed at the Sydney Conservatory with saxophone orchestra under the direction of Michael Duke.
