This time we will offer a very special concert, totally experimental. Special for us, that as friends we met to fulfill an old dream of playing together and unite our so distant cultures through music. Special to the public, as you can appreciate the dialogue between two instruments probably never before assembled. The erhu is a bowed instrument two strings, originating in the northeastern Chinese peoples; It was modified and standardized during the twentieth century. The viola da gamba, arc instrument six or seven strings, It appears on the Iberian peninsula in the middle of the fifteenth century and had its heyday in Europe 1550 Y 1750. both instruments, apparently unconnected, They share a strikingly similar arc technique, almost identical in many respects. Both its timbres, as well as its expressive capabilities, both they were and are appreciated in their respective cultures for its amazing ability to imitate the human voice.
