The show is a collection of Greek songs by the great Manos Hatzidakis, who was a composer of songs and soundtracks, as well as producer, orchestra director, poet and pianist. His music left its mark on his land. He composed music for the main classical tragedies that have since been incorporated into the contemporary repertoire as well as, music for literary masterpieces brought to the theater; He was the author of numerous film soundtracks, won an Oscar in 1960 and he also collaborated as a composer in documentaries by Jacques Cousteau. He was a producer of recording works and also an organizer of numerous festivals to recover traditional Greek music.. This selection of simple and sensual songs with a deep intimate poetic, are orchestrated for piano, violín, clarinet and cello, whose interventions are sometimes more subtle, emphasizing the lyrics, the voice and the melody, and other more intense ones, giving the pieces a richness of rhythms and timbres: a different light every time.
