At 2017 Marcos Monk forms a group with the purpose of approaching and disseminating the work of Juanjo Domínguez, one of the main referents of the Argentine guitar, of tango and folklore. This project is made up of different musicians forming various instrumentations. In 2019 is established with the formation of two guitars and a double bass. They have made presentations in the live music circuit and milongas of the City of Buenos Aires, at the Guitars of the World Festival 2021, at the La Boca Tango Festival and at the Boedo Tango Festival. Through transcriptions and adaptations made by Marcos Monk, the trio goes through Juanjo's wide repertoire. Recreating his particular and innovative touch, his facets as an interpreter travel, arranger and composer of undeniable contribution to our music. The group adopts the name “Las Escobas”, term with which Carlos Gardel referred to his guitarists. Currently "Las Escobas" is made up of Marcos Monk and Gastón Ruiz on guitars and Facundo Tudisco on double bass and they are working on their first record material.
