Diego Zapico, Javier Tenenbaum and Alfredo Rosso present this workshop on 4 meetings where we are going to travel 100 years of recorded music: rock, jazz, tango, folklore, blues and other world music.
What are the fundamental albums to understand certain genres and who are the names behind the historical recordings? All this and much more to expand your knowledge of recorded music.
OBJECTIVE: The Workshop aims to work with ideas, data, concepts and stories fundamentals on which the operation of the industry is based record company. For this we will see in its development a historiographic relationship on how social contexts, political and cultural influence and reflected in the industry and its artistic emerging. It is a journey that will cover from its emergence to our days, making a panoramic and global trip over the entire history having a particular focus on the development of the industry in our country, its most transcendent times and protagonists. We will see the recording systems, the different eras that the industry, the artistic and cultural movements that reflected it, its fundamental discs, its record makers and producers more important. No gender will be left out of this journey: rock, jazz, tango, folklore, blues and other world music. Each class will have its playlist and reference bibliography.
Javier Tenenbaum. (29 of January of 1963) He is a music producer and director of Los años Luz Discos, record label he founded in 1999 (desde el 2000 in partnership with Nani Monner Sans). Los Años Luz, has in its catalog artists such as the Lerner-Moguilevsky Duo, Fernando Samalea, Axel Krygier, Kevin Johansen, Liliana Felipe, Lisandro Aristimuño, Santiago Vázquez, Mulam, Carmen Baliero, Ramiro Musotto, Lucas Martí, Los Núñez and Ramón Ayala; between many more. With the sub-label Punto Uy he publishes Uruguayan musicians such as Trío Fattoruso, Gustavo “The prince” Pity, Martín Buscaglia, Dani Umpi |, Mariana Lucía; between more. Has licensed some artists abroad (entre ellos, Johansen, Krygier, Samalea and Lerner-Moguilevsky) to countries like the United States, Japan, Spain and Germany. As an artistic producer, he has been nominated for the Grammy Awards for Kevin Johansen's albums "Sur o no sur" and "Citizen". AND, With his label he has won Gardel Awards on several occasions. His beginning in the music industry was in the production company Nuevo Canto in 1983, there he was part of the production of recitals and tours of Alfredo Zitarrosa, Daniel Vigietti, Osvaldo Pugliese, Soledad Bravo and others. He was a music producer for the TV program Canal K and several radio programs, including "La Panadería" with Alberto Muñoz, National radio 1999/2000) and La Escoba daily radio program Splendid in 1986/7 and Municipal radio 1990/1 with Liliana Daunes in the locution and Carlos Groisman in the scripts. He was a partner and record maker of the El Atril record store, one of the prestigious caves and then the record store in the mythical Gandhi Bookstore. He has participated as a jury and lecturer in national and international meetings and forums. As an advisor in the Secretariat of Strategic Coordination for National Thought (Ministerio de Cultura de la Nación) carried out important musical rescue work, like the book-album by Bolivian musician Felipe Rivera; together with the sociologist Radek Sánchez Patzy, or the epic poem by Ramón Ayala: "The burning trenches of Paraguay". He was a full member of the Board of Directors of CAPIF (Argentine Chamber of Producers of the Phonographic Industry).
Diego Cesar Zapico (15 February 1968) Since 1992 works in the recording industry, area where in the year 1997 founds and directs the Acqua Records label to date. He was artistic and executive producer of the following albums, entre otros:

As artistic director of the label, he has edited and coordinated works by the following artists: Rita Cortese, Lidia Borda, Cuarteto Cedrón, Anacrusa, Hugo Diaz, Mavi Diaz, Silvina Garre, Nito Mestre, Aquelarre, Martyrdom, Maceo Parker, Patxi Andión, Cecilia Todd, Franco Luciani, Alberto Favero, Mario Benedetti, Horacio Molina, Quique Sinesi, Juan Jose Mosalini, Enrique Morente, Carlos Franzetti, Daniel Binelli, Diego Amador, Chavela Vargas, Chango Spasiuk, The Chicana, entre otros. Albums released by Acqua Records have been nominated for the Latin Grammys eight times, have won a Latin Grammy in 2007, for the category Best Instrumental Album by DUETS de Carlos Franzetti & Eddie Gómez and on the local scene the artists of the label and their albums have won 14 Gardel awards since the year 1999. He has participated and developed seminars, training days, conferences and discussion tables related to Music within the Cultural Industries (National University of Avellaneda and National University of Quilmes) and specific aspects of the activity such as Production and Rights, among other topics. Since 2009 integrates the Board of Directors of CAPIF (Argentine Chamber of Phonogram and Videogram Producers) being currently President of said entity.
Alfredo Rosso. (6 de noviembre de 1954) He began his journalistic activity in 1976 as editor and founding member of the magazine Imaginary Express. He was Head of the International Department of the Music Hall record company between 1976 Y 1981, and editor in several publications of Buenos Aires as Hurray, Pigs and Pethese, Rock & Pop, Rolling Stone Y Mix, and also in the newspapers Clarion, The nation Y Page 12, between 1980 Y 2002. He also did work as an English-language translator and interpreter for the label Warner Bros. He participated as a jury of the Konex Awards in 1995 Y 2005 in the Popular Music category. On radio, He was a programmer and music producer at FMR, by Radio Rivadavia, between 1982 Y 1985; producer and programmer of his programs, B side, at Radio Alfa at 1993, Hand in Radioactive, from 1995 a 1997 Y Imaginary Express in 2001. He was nominated for the Konex Award 1997 in the Journalism category, Música Popular. Between 1996 Y 1998 He was a repertoire manager at the BMG record label in Argentina, where he supervised the reissue of the complete work of Aníbal Troilo in RCA Victor, and later collaborated, as well, with rock reissues from Sony Music and EMI labels. In 2004 made a radio program about Argentine music for the BBC in London, for the cycle Don’t Touch That Dial. Between 2004 Y 2005 produced and conducted the television space Vinilo, on Much Music and enter 2004 Y 2010 was editor of the magazine Hand. Since 2000 is a driver, producer and musician of The House of Rising Rock, by Rock & Pop FM 95.9, which received the Ether Award for Best Musical Program in 2007 Y 2010 and as Best Weekly Production in FM that last year and was nominated for the Martín Fierro in 2003, 2018 Y 2019 in the category Best Musical Program. In 2010 drove I'll explain later in National Rock 93.7 FM. In that station he participated in 2011 of the cycle Left Thread. Also in 2011 was part of the jury of the contest YPF Destination Rock. In 2014 He received the Ether Award in the category Columnist of Culture / Shows, by the programs The Celestial Plot Y Figuration. Actually, in addition to the cycle The House of Rising Rock, by Rock & Pop, 95.9 FM, conducts the programs The Celestial Plot, for AM 750, Rooster Trick by UBA Radio, 87.9 FM, the latter together with Claudio Kleiman and Figuration, by Nacional Rock 93.7 FM. He teaches courses on rock history, National and international.
